Cookie & Storage Notice

What Unity stores in the browser and how Firebase, Stripe, App Check, and service providers may use similar technologies.

Effective August 26, 2026Version 1.0
Unity's current website does not use an advertising-cookie program or cross-context targeted-advertising cookies. It does use browser storage and third-party technologies that are necessary for authentication, checkout, fraud prevention, and basic site operation.

1. Browser storage used by Unity

StoragePurposeTypical duration
Remembered portal emailIf you choose “remember email,” the email address may be stored in localStorage to prefill the next login. It is not an authentication token.Until you clear it, uncheck the option, or browser storage is removed.
Portal UI/session stateNon-authoritative UI state may be stored in sessionStorage. Server authorization does not rely on this value.Generally the browser tab/session.
Marketplace cartA temporary cart may be stored in sessionStorage so it survives a refresh.Generally the browser tab/session.

2. Firebase Authentication

Firebase Authentication uses browser technologies needed to maintain a signed-in session and securely communicate with Google's authentication services. Unity's application code is designed not to copy Firebase ID, access, or refresh tokens into ordinary Web Storage keys.

3. App Check / reCAPTCHA Enterprise

If Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise is enabled, Google may process device, browser, network, and anti-abuse signals to determine whether requests appear legitimate. Unity should enable enforcement only after validating that legitimate traffic is functioning correctly.

4. Stripe

Marketplace pages may load Stripe technology to provide secure checkout and payment processing. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for payment security, fraud prevention, authentication, and checkout functionality under Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.

5. Other providers

Hosting, fonts, fulfillment storefronts, and other third-party content may receive ordinary web-request information such as IP address, browser type, referrer, and timestamps when your browser requests their resources.

6. Advertising and analytics

The current Unity build does not intentionally deploy targeted-advertising cookies or a general behavioral advertising platform. If Unity later adds non-essential analytics, advertising, session replay, or similar tracking, this notice and any required consent/opt-out controls should be updated before deployment.

7. Your controls

You can clear browser cookies/storage through browser settings. Clearing authentication-related storage may sign you out, and clearing session storage may remove a temporary cart or other convenience state. If applicable privacy law requires a universal opt-out signal to be honored for a future processing activity, Unity will process recognized signals as described in the Privacy Policy.
